About the Role

The Accounting Manager will report to the Vice President, Corporate Controller and will be responsible for several areas within the General Ledger function, the month end process and management reporting package. This will help our accounting organization develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly-end accounting close including the coordination and review of foreign entity close
  • Prepare and review journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Maintain General Ledger and perform reconciliation with the supporting schedules for prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, investments, equity and other major accounts
  • Preparing monthly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
  • Implement process improvement for “procure-to-pay” process flow
  • Maintaining the general ledger system
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Manage the payroll function including review new employee set-up, ensuring deductions are entered correctly, and the payroll is processed timely and accurately
  • Manage intercompany accounts and record intercompany entries
  • Manage annual sales tax and quarterly review of sales tax nexus
  • Assist with annual audit
  • Manage and develop staff of two to three individuals
  • Lead ad hoc projects and work as part of a cross-functional team

About You

  • BS Accounting.  Public Accounting experience is a plus, CPA a nice to have.
  • 8+ years of accounting and finance experience with recent experience as an Accounting Manager.
  • Experience of working with NetSuite highly preferred
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staff
