About the role

When you tell your friends that you’re an Employee Communications Manager at Citrix, you’ll say that your job is to ensure that employees everywhere understand the company’s strategy and culture, know how to get things done, and feel motivated to contribute because they’re excited about what Citrix is creating. Day-to-day, alongside other members of the Employee Communications team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues to develop communications strategies and tactical plans, and create content for global communication channels. You’ll report to the Director of Employee Communications within the Marketing organization, and your customers will be your thousands of colleagues around the globe.

You like to be at the center of the action, supporting internal communications campaigns about nearly every part of the employee experience. You’re service-oriented, curious, and clever—someone who can help colleagues understand audiences, messaging, channels, and how to measure success. You’re comfortable working—and writing—with speed and urgency, but also know how to reliably and consistently manage recurring processes. Responsibilities

  • Plan, edit, write, and design clear and compelling content for a variety of internal communications channels.

  • Support production and delivery of our channels, including our intranet, employees’ and managers’ toolboxes, Yammer Communities, Global Employee Meetings, and other live and/or streamed events.

  • Collaborate with other internal communicators and senior leaders—especially in HR, IT, Legal, and Real Estate—explaining communication processes and techniques to them in a consultative, approachable manner.

  • Develop and project manage communication plans for key internal campaigns.

  • Storyboard and translate raw ideas into presentations and videos.

  • Engage employees on internal social platforms as well as other channels.

  • Respond to feedback from leaders and employees, as well as measure effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.

  • Make recommendations to improve our communications channels, processes, and content to better inform, connect, and inspire Citrites.

Basic qualifications

  • 5+ years in communications, public relations, journalism, and/or marketing.

  • 3+ years experience working in a global, fast-paced, technically complex environment. A writing and design portfolio or presentation may be requested as part of the initial screening.

Preferred qualifications

  • Can deliver clear and compelling content in many forms—written, visual, verbal, video, etc.—and in both peer-to-peer and executive voice

  • Extensive organizational and time management skills—must be able to multitask throughout the workday

  • Ability to learn about technical subjects and produce communications that are easily consumed by non-technical users

  • Strong digital communication and presentation skills

  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products

  • Empathy and effective listening skills

  • Not frightened by complexity or ambiguity

  • Ready to join a fun, valuable, distributed team
