What we're looking for:

YOU as an Engineering manager will play a critical role in driving engineering team, with expertise in mobile & web domain, flexible and open to work in different technologies if required, customer focused , ready to work at a fast but sustainable pace and work on cutting-edge technology in areas of mobile & web.

Position Overview:

Manager with expertise in Enterprise grade Mobile (Android/iOS )and Web application development, who collaborates across all verticals and at all levels within Citrix. This position requires excellent leadership & organization skills with keen eye to details.  As a engineering leader contribute to team building, mentoring & retaining high performing engineering talent, work towards long term vision & set direction to the team, drive innovation, emphasize on quality deliverables, avoid duplication of efforts.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a team of highly skilled software engineers using agile practices.

  • Responsible for driving design, development, sustenance of apps which are used by millions of people daily.

  • Ability to pitch in for design & code reviews, customer escalations.

  • Take accountability for product quality & work on short release cycles.

  • Convert product roadmap into smaller achievable goals & drive its execution.

  • Regularly collaborate with Product Management, User Experience, Technical Program Management and with internal/external SDK teams across various geos to ship new features.

  • Work towards defining & achieving the future of Citrix Workspace app on mobile & web platforms.

  • Regularly track deliverable timelines & bring in corrective actions if required.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

  • Actively supports, communicates and enforces the company’s software engineering processes and standards

  • Contribute to improve application performance, product quality and process improvements across Citrix.

  • Understand and drive security and data protection initiatives.

  • Speed up defect fixing, resolve complex customer escalations and improve application performance.

  • Hire, mentor, retain engineering & managerial talent.

  • Continuously work on upskilling engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Masters/PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of software design & development experience with 1 years of engineering management experience.

  • Strong experience in delivering enterprise mobile applications (Android/iOS).

  • Strong experience in delivering web applications (JS, ReactJS, HTML5).

  • Solid people management skills to lead medium-large engineering teams.

  • Experience managing entry level managers or multiple team leads is a plus.

  • Good understanding of micro-service, APIs, networking concepts.

  • Exposure to one of AWS, Azure or Google cloud platform.

  • Exposure to polyglot environment.

  • Experience in driving innovation & good understating of patents, copyrights, licenses.

  • Experience with Agile development methodology (preferably scrum), CI-CD tools (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA etc.)

  • Quick learning skills & has experience working under pressure in fast paced environments.
