What we're looking for:

You are a curious, driven, and hard-working Manager. You are looking for a chance to develop both your people and software skills. You have proven experience with the design, development, validation, deployment, and sustenance of features for Linux Applications.

You excel in the planning and prioritization of design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues. You have an uncanny ability to multitask problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires the evaluation of identifiable factors. You have experience working directly with customers and can get on calls, identify problems, and fix them.

Position Overview

Citrix HDX is the core component of Citrix Workspace product.

You will play an important role in the HDX team to drive world-class products.

Together with other dedicated team members, you will be focusing on not only developing, solving and maintaining software components for existing and new products, but also customer requirements and project objectives while mitigating project and product risks.


  • Applies understanding of industry trends and business implications in making Engineering decisions; drives consensus around the technical vision, design and technical specifications, and master schedule and project plan
  • Assists in developing plans for building interpersonal capability, capacity and agility; completes to defined annual goals, engineering and business initiatives
  • Develops team and leads product design and development activities that meet or exceed defined customer requirements; identifies and resolves technical issues at a high‐level and helps team assess design requirements and how to implement. Encourages individual and team efforts to innovate around product design and develop
  • Communicates the technical vision and leads assigned team through the development process, demonstrating development resources from multiple locations, including global development centers
  • Recognizes design or development deficiencies and implements effective solutions
  • Communicates the value of and implements sound engineering design process and quality practices, software estimation, coding standards, technical documentation standards, QA processes, build, and configuration management; handles compliance to standard policies and procedures
  • Develops and maintains detailed software engineering and development plans and resource allocation. Monitors and supervises day‐to‐day activities including technical design, work breakdown, code reviews, unit testing, launch plans and overall ownership of schedule, quality and budget; ensures technical teams are contributing to our code library

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Participates in and supports a culture where employees are highly motivated, energetic, excited and enthusiastic working for the company
  • Handles to establish measurement, reward/recognition and compensation plans within approved budget guidelines
  • Recommends the need for and participates in the definition of new job roles/descriptions in the group
  • Supervises individual contributors in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conducts interviews, hires new individual contributors, and provides employee orientation/assimilation training
  • Coaches and provides career development advice to staff
  • Handles the development of direct reports by assigning, where possible, project tasks that are in line with each employee's career interests
  • Identifies and fulfills formal and informal training needs to meet the skills and experience requirements of the team and supports business goals
  • Works with employees to create performance and development goals that align with the department goals and conducts employee performance evaluations
  • Addresses performance issues and provides ongoing and corrective feedback in a timely a constructive manner
  • Handles staff scheduling to meet business goals including work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back‐up for absent employees, and shift rotations Assists staff in resolving sophisticated or out‐of‐policy operation problems
  • Mitigates team conflict and communication problems through coaching and conflict resolution practices
  • Provides guidance to senior management regarding appropriate staffing levels needed to meet departmental goals

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Industry, 2+ years of experience leading a technical team
  • Be able to work with global team to build high-quality feedback of product with customer-first and quality-first mindset
  • Experience in handling the development and delivery of software products on‐time and within budget
  • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge and experience helping others to deliver products utilizing sophisticated programming environments and concepts
  • Experience in software development, maintenance and project management of sophisticated software systems; experience in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Lean) desired

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Windows/Linux/Mac Development background in innovative mode to win market while contending with other competitors
  • Strong Cloud experience in fast development rhythm with business attitude
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performance software development team
  • Proven knowledge of formal technology architecture and design process, and ability to pragmatically lead these efforts within a software engineering team
