Role Overview:
The IT Field Ops Specialist is a mid-level support position supporting both the help desk service management teams and IT operations teams. Support includes assisting with overall IT infrastructure, helping end-users with technical issues, and facilitating local and global projects.
About the role.
Take ownership of helpdesk ticketing systems to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve level 1-3 support issues
Support end-users both on-site in office and in remote offices using RDP tools
User Management and support including onboarding & offboarding employees; assigning, transferring, updating, and terminating user access
Maintain on-site interconnected technology including Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, WAPs, televisions, and printers
Maintain, build, and update repository of knowledge base articles and documented SOPs
Collaborate with local and global teams to accomplish department and company-wide initiatives
Act as liaison for all on-site technology vendors and IT-related facility operations
Administer systems for tracking corporate and onsite property equipment, inventory, and access.
Facilitate audits and reporting for the upkeep of various systems to maintain security protocols
Collaborate with local workplace operations team to perform workstation deployments by installing, monitoring, and supporting functions of desktop operating systems and related applications
Provide exceptional customer service to all company departments in resolving any functionality issues with business systems
Provide technical support for team and company events as well as interdepartmental collaboration projects
Facilitate, track, and manage access requests and coordinate escalations when necessary
Manage workload to meet deadlines and execute tasks efficiently
Collaborate with IT operations team to facilitate on-site infrastructure projects
Position is currently a hybrid role (60/40 in-office/remote). This will eventually shift to a full time in-office position
About You:
Highly organized, great communicator, and ability to execute independently
Ability to learn quickly and think critically in ambiguous situations
Understanding of work management tools or similar SaaS products preferred
Understanding of with Active Directory, JAMF, and/or Intune preferred
Ability to speak publicly
Configuration and installation of Windows and MacOS systems and application services running on these platforms
Understanding of Google apps including Gmail in a G-Suite domain environment preferred
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Meraki Firewall and understanding of network security technologies preferred
Understanding of with a wide array of network equipment including switches and routers preferred
Ability to design and document test plans and results
Strong troubleshooting skills
Understanding of of VoIP technologies to troubleshoot issues with VoIP call quality preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet required deadlines
Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting
2+ years’ experience providing end user technical support and managing a Windows/ Mac based environments in at least a medium size organization (50+ users) preferred
