What we're looking for:

Are you a Lead Networking Sales Engineer who has unique knowledge in Application Delivery & Security? We need you! You will use your skills to help customers transition into hybrid and multi-cloud environments.


In this role, you are responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customers business issues and objectives. You will assist in developing business value propositions around Citrix Application Delivery & Security solutions. You will drive sales with your technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability and a superior customer focus.


  • Be the primary Sales Engineer for the assigned vertical in support of the sales efforts for Citrix Application Delivery & Security solutions.
  • Provides a role within the sales teams in assessing potential application of Citrix products to meet customer’s business needs.
  • Leverages Business Value and/or Consultative sales process’ toward prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.
  • Drive the sales process in partnership with the Account Manager, by identifying the Technical Decision Maker, getting their technical validation, support, and sponsorship
  • Ability to present and communicate at an executive level to both customers and prospects alike to articulate the value proposition and help them understand Citrix innovation and strategy. 
  • Gathering technical requirements from customers and aligning those to Citrix solutions, and managing both technical and competitive objections. 
  • Has ability to build and manage complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process.
  • Positively influences and willingly contributor sales opportunities beyond their own territory assignment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical and sales resources, share best practices, updates, offer and seek expertise as the need arises in various opportunities.
  • Ability to leverage and maximize the Citrix partner ecosystem partners as the fulfillment channel while working with Citrix end user accounts on IT initiatives.
  • Ability to absorb new technology quickly and understand the relevance in the wider market.
  • Ability to effectively present technology and business propositions to different types of partners, internal teams and management
  • Experienced ability to motivate, educate, and train and conduct seminars to drive mind share within partners, SI and Enterprise customers and prospects to increase Citrix revenues within assigned territory
  • Demonstrated knowledge of value based and & technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technically close deals.
  • Ability to understand and explain many different technologies and to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Experience with network infrastructure and Security technologies, data centre / cloud computing architectures, and how technology components interact at each layer of the OSI model.
  • Hands on experience with different products and technologies commonly seen in Enterprise network specifically around Application Delivery Controllers and related technologies.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years plus prior presales experience in a high-tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology.
  • Relevant Citrix Certified Professional (CCP) certification preferred along with other relevant industry certification would be a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English language (both in speaking and writing)
  • Experience in working with large accounts and selling at higher levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including Corporate headquarters.
  • Expect 50% travel requirement, predominately within territory
