What we're looking for:

The Lead Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and matching Citrix technology solutions to achieve the mission or objectives of Enterprise Public Sector customer in Germany. In this role, you will be an important element of our sales organization by driving sales with your technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability and superior customer focus. You will also assist in developing business value propositions around Citrix products and solutions and participate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • You will support the assigned Citrix sales team from a technical perspective for opportunities in a pre-sales support capacity.

  • Provide a role within the sales teams in assessing potential application of Citrix products to meet customer’s business needs.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer locations on Citrix products value proposition

  • Develops customer requirements that map to Citrix solutions, assists with overcoming technical and competitive objections, and accelerates technical evaluation component of sales cycle to close deals.

  • Leverage the consultative sales process to prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.

  • You'll serve as an external spokesperson and evangelist for Citrix’s vision and associated technologies.

  • Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales engineering management.

  • Your expertise allows you to build complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Engineering experience in a high-tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Endpoint Management, Windows Desktops and Server Management; including troubleshooting server and desktop builds, active directory, group policy, and TCP/IP networking knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Azure, Google Cloud and/or AWS would be helpful

  • Experienced ability to motivate, proactively train oneself, provide trainings for others, and conduct seminars.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.

  • You understand and can deploy technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business use cases, and technically close deals.

  • You will articulate and understand the customer strategy and Citrix solution strategy to a technical level of detail for their technical area of focus.

  • Possesses high level of specialized/hands-on Citrix product knowledge.

  • Citrix Certification a plus.
