As a Sales/Systems Engineer (SE), you will be responsible for the technical relationships with customers and prospects, and you will identify and match technology opportunities with our customers’ business needs.  This position will be located in Houston, TX.

In this role, you will be a meaningful element of our sales organization by driving sales with your technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and outstanding customer focus. You will also assist in developing business value propositions around Citrix products and solutions and participate as part of a sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve a wide range of complex issues
  • Assessing the potential application of Citrix products to meet customer’s business needs and using professional concepts in providing primarily pre-sales technical support
  • Establishing relationships with technical personnel to find opportunities and sell Citrix products
  • Creating and delivering technical product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions either remotely, at customer locations, or at Citrix facilities
  • Responsible for the many aspects of the technical sales process
  • Demonstrating product knowledge to provide technical expertise to the sales team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of sales engineering experience in a high-tech, indirect sales, and procurement environment with a record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory
  • Engineering experience in a high-tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The following certifications are useful but not required
    • Citrix Certification (CCE-V)
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
