The Manager, Reporting and Analysis is responsible for leading financial reporting and analysis and developing and implementing the Controllership reporting strategy. This individual drives project and reporting intake process and ensures adherence to the process. Architects, develops, and improves the financial reporting landscape. Drives overall project sequencing for the team and applies project sequencing data to project/program intake process. Drives resource management process and conducts regular review cycles with leadership team to ensure accuracy. Position is also responsible for advising and consulting on financial accounting, reporting, and analysis to senior management.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive implementation and adoption of the strategic framework for the organization including documentation sets, methodologies (project management, quality testing, etc.) and best practices.
Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting for the department and ensures accuracy in all reports, and perform deep dives into any variances with other reporting groups
Applies creativity in problem solving and identifies innovative data solutions
Ability to understand upstream data and processes to advise on proper reporting solutions
Consistently monitors and stays up to date on data analytics industry advances and tools.
Regularly briefs leadership on project/programs interdependencies that are at risk and proactively identifies solutions
Oversees the documentation of requirements and how-to guides visually/electronically using MS Visio follow established internal standards. Ensures Process documentation and libraries are maintained adequately
Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies across the finance/accounting function, with a keen emphasis on process simplification and automation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Leverage data in order to properly sequence and prioritize requests and initiatives
Partner with IT to initiate, prioritize and drive the systematic solutions that fulfill business needs.
Acts as subject matter expert in cross-department projects as representative of the capabilities and needs of the Finance and Accounting teams.
Manage every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources
Perform key functions to recruit top-notch programs and strategy staff including interviewing, hiring, monitoring, employee feedback and documentation, counseling and coaching, and performance management / improvement when needed
Qualifications
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication and presentation skills including proficiency in visualization tools, SQL and SAP
Strong storytelling and presentation skills, and the ability to explain and communicate key decision points in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes.
Ability to interact effectively with executives, functional peer groups and subordinates to gain commitment and cooperation from others, especially those in other departments with competing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills; ability to lead meetings internally and externally and executive briefings. Often takes a leading role in senior level presentations with management teams.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel
Understanding of Order-to-Cash and Record-to-Report processes and data
Ability to manage expectations
Ability to influence teams without direct management responsibility
Understanding of cross module/system impacts
Strives to improve performance and to have a significant impact on department’s success
Participate in project teams in cross-functional as well as virtual teams in a supportive capacity as needed.
Manage teams tasks and ensure completion of assignments under aggressive time constraints.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of organization, management levels, cultures, and personalities.

Functional/Technical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred
3-5 years of Financial Systems Implementation/Management experience
2-4 years of experience in a process improvement focused environment
Functional knowledge of SAP, including configuration and system design

In the state of Colorado, the salary for this role generally ranges from $109,610 -$137,013 but may vary depending on your qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of this range.
