What we're looking for:

You are enthusiastic to influence our Enterprise Data Governance strategy and manage the execution of it with a supporting team, particularly with a focus on Account and Customer Install Base master data.  You come with very strong analytical skill and a natural approach to cross-functional collaboration in order to resolve escalations in this this domain and to lead the Data Governance work stream of projects that are enterprise level, complex and challenging.

Position Overview:

As a Master Data Management Manager you will be responsible for maintaining Account (Customer) Master Data and the supporting Install Base Contracts (aka Assets) with a high degree of accuracy, while maintaining service level agreements when in the context of revenue impacting processes. You will be the recognized Subject Matter Expert for this Data Domain having knowledge of industry-standard Data Governance and Data Stewardship process and systems; this includes an understanding of the end to end customer sales lifecycle and 3rd party enrichment of customer segmentation, such as from Dun & Bradstreet.  You will be expected to work closely with Information Technology (IT) and Data Engineering teams on reviewing requirements and then executing User Acceptance testing accordingly.  The role will also proactively monitor completeness and accuracy to proactively drive upstream process improvements based off performance of root cause analysis of any escalated issues.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provides primary input to hiring, termination, promotion, performance and rewards decisions for direct reports.
  • Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team, with direct impact on the immediate operational results of the department
  • Assess and drive improvements of processes, systems or products to provide ongoing trust and integrity in the Customer Install Base master data
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors
  • Accountable for revenue impacting controls and procedures related to data domain
  • Ongoing monitoring of Data Completeness and Accuracy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement adherence

Basic Qualifications:

You will have Bachelor or Master’s degree in tied to Business and/or Information Technology

You will have at least 3-5 years of experience with Enterprise Data Management processes

What are the key characteristics that would make you an ideal candidate:

  • Experience with Master Data Management and Data Quality processes and frameworks
  • Basic understanding of Data Architecture and Modeling concepts
  • Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
  • Natural collaboration skills and ability to influence cooperation of other parties outside of direct department on improvements to practices, policies and procedures
  • Strong problem solving aptitude with complex issues and requirements which will require ability to bridge the details with an understanding of the broader end to end sales lifecycle
  • General knowledge of Quote/Order to Fulfillment process
  • Good communication skills as the point of contact to explain (and justify) policies, practices and procedures of the job area to others within the organization
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting including SQL in order to support team KPI monitoring and source system data troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Tableau and/or Power BI is a plus
  • Inclination towards detail orientation and organization
  • Experience with basic project management frameworks and tools
