What we're looking for:

Position Overview

The Presales Engineer Specialist (or Domain Specialist) – Cloud is a Sales overlay role directly supporting our field sales teams into new and exciting markets. Presales Engineer Specialists are THE subject matter experts for our Cloud solutions and are responsible for leading value-centric conversations, ultimately identifying and matching technology capabilities with our customers’ business and security needs.

In this role, you will collaborate with Account Executives, Presales Engineers, Product Management, and Marketing to establish a shared vision with our customers and help them achieve their strategic goals. You will identify, document, and communicate the comprehensive impact that digital transformation has on an organization. You will focus on our SaaS-based solutions, the various cloud platforms we integrate with, and address customer concerns around cloud governance.

Role Responsibility

  • You will partner with sales teams in assessing potential applications of Citrix products to meet customer’s business needs.

  • You will conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer locations/Citrix facilities on Citrix products value proposition.

  • You will build sophisticated, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process.

  • You will identify and detail specific problems with prospective and current customers which can be solved through the deployment of coordinated Workspace and Security solutions.

  • You will facilitate relationships between business and technical teams, identifying business drivers and processes, providing expertise on Citrix products and the customer's technology environment. 

  • You will architect and propose validated solutions and cloud frameworks that address the identified problems in each outstanding environment.

  • You will work closely with Product Leadership to articulate industry trends, customer needs, and product improvement areas.

  • You will maintain a keen awareness of the competitive landscape, market trends, and cloud paradigms across the customer base.

Basic Qualifications

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience)

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 1-3 years plus of experience

  • Proven knowledge of one or more cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills

  • Good work ethic, demeanor, and follow-through ability

  • Excels at building strong positive relationships with Enterprise/Commercial/DS teams and customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Indirect and direct sales experience, preferably in high tech, with consistent track record of success with solution selling

  • Solid understanding of Citrix’s competitive domain and technologies. 

  • Understanding of SASE technologies and methods, understanding how Citrix solutions fit within this space.

  • Desktop/Application/Server Virtualization hands-on experience

  • Enterprise Mobility Management

  • Networking and/or SD-WAN

  • Relevant Industry Certifications Preferred: CCEE, CCIA, CCNA, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent.
