What we're looking for:

You are a Principal Accountant with experience in international accounting! You will also have experience independently running the complete preparation and review of statutory financial reporting, including income tax and indirect tax submissions for a portfolio of EMEA countries.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for statutory and tax compliance for a portfolio of countries

The role also includes working with several cross-functional customers as well as working with external accounting and tax service providers.

Roles and Responsibility
 

 Preparation of statutory accounts, including a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other local GAAPs
Maintain a strong level of expertise relating to accounting standards (local GAAP), tax and indirect taxes regulations and apply the information proactively
Ensure accurate and timely indirect taxes, income taxes and other statutory submissions or reporting as required within deadlines
Coordinate audit efforts with internal and external auditors
Lead certain statutory & tax audits and provide tax analysis
Month-end close activities
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual Sarbanes Oxley key control compliance 
Play a pivotal role in ensuring the proper maintenance and development of accounting policies and procedures from a local GAAP perspective to comply with statutory filings and reporting as well as implementation of global policies

Involvement, with the potential to manage, special projects as required or requested from time to time (e.g. M&A, liquidations, system implementations, etc).

 Perform various day-to-day reviews and/or approvals within the Company’s established processes and policies
Identify and help implement continuous process improvements
Involvement in coaching, reviewing and delegation of work to other team members


 

Basic Requirements
 

  • Must be a fully qualified accountant with experience in international accounting, statutory and tax compliance
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a must, ideally for large tech multinational
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • ACCA qualifications required
  • Must have US GAAP experience
