What we're looking for:

You are a curious, driven, and passionate Principal Software Engineer. You are looking for a chance to develop both your people and software skills. You have over 15 years of experience with the design, development, validation, deployment, and sustenance of features for large scale system. You excel in the planning and prioritization of design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues. You have an uncanny ability to multitask problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires the evaluation of identifiable factors. You have experience working directly with customers and can get on calls, understand problems, and fix them.

Position Overview:

The position within CVAD Cloud (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops) will initially focus on the development of Citrix Cloud product line, which will present you with a unique opportunity to expand problem-solving situations that will become an invaluable individual career asset. Role Responsibilities:

  • As a specialist in one or more areas of the product, responsibly plans, prioritizes, organizes, and produce technical deliverables and artifacts, applying a wide range of product and domain experience and understanding of technologies.
  • Understand the product requirements and convert them into implementable functional and non-functional specifications, architecture, and software designs.
  • Following SAFe Agile methodologies and agile software development and CI/CD processes.
  • Implementation following secure coding practices and guidelines, code integration, unit and integration testing and test-automation, performing Quality processes, design and code reviews and proactive contribution to peer code reviews; debugging and QA.
  • As a technical lead, collaborate and coordinate product/feature definitions, it’s architecture, designs and development activities and any dependencies within the team and/or cross functional teams’ for end-to-end feature/product deliverables.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues in customer on-premises or hybrid multi-cloud environments and work with cross functional teams to support customer issues and escalations.
  • Communicating technical issues; assisting with technical specification and product documentation and reviews; assisting with sales/SE enablement activities such as product and feature trainings, webinars, blogs etc.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent is a minimum requirement in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 15+ Years of experience in software product development and life-cycle maintenance
  • Design and develop micro services at Cloud scale
  • Experience architecting and developing distributed cloud architectures and infrastructure within AWS, Azure, or GCP       
  • Experience developing backend services/ micro services/cloud services /Rest API/Web API
  • Experience mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues
  • Solid experience of Object Oriented software design, C++/C# is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of concepts in operating systems, networking, and security
  • Experience developing high quality systems software for large-scale distributed applications, following agile methodologies, knowledge of version control systems (E.g., Git), bug management tools (e.g., Jira)

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in modernizing legacy web applications ( updating UI, modern REST based APIs, etc.) is desirable
  • Debugging skills in C# .NET using MS Visual Studio
  • Experience with databases including MSSQL and NoSql technologies
  • Performance/scalability measurement and optimization
  • Experience with OpenSSL, Crypto, Hardware accelerations and integrations
  • Good verbal and written English
