What we're looking for:

In this role, you will lead process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis and discussion of process alternatives in order to arrive at best practices. You will provide operational support for a business segment, group or team, and provide expertise or identify subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc. You will advise business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application, and ensure that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.

Position Summary/Overview

Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
  • Provides recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge
  • Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
  • May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues
  • Support reporting & analysis requests for data quality operations
  • Understand integration between multiple systems and platforms
  • Lead and support medium to large projects with cross-functional teams end-to-end including providing requirements, design input, UAT validations, and production monitoring.
  • Helps to ensure security and compliance regulations are maintained
  • Production support and resolution of issues impacting business processes
  • Validating data by comparing corresponding data from multiple sources
  • Working within Salesforce, Marketo, Custom UI and backend data systems
  • Working with IT and project teams to resolve errors and data issues
  • Extracting and consolidating reporting metrics
  • Experience reviewing, manipulating, and processing large volumes of data
  • Continuous optimization of business processes through automation, centralization, and simplification
  • Metadata documentation and management
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL - Must be able to write queries and perform extensive joins across tables and databases to extract and analyse data
  • Advanced Excel skills required for reporting and analysis duties – VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, reporting summaries and visualizations
  • Experience working with large volumes of data
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems and Marketo or similar Marketing Automation systems
  • Must have a clear understanding of database structures, design, and integration
  • Experience conducting business requirements gathering and documentation of process flows
  • Must be able to work with technical and business teams to solve for complex business problems
  • Experience documenting business problems, analyzing root cause, and presenting solution recommendations
  • Experience with determining KPIs and collecting data for key metrics tracking
  • Experience with performing UAT and validation of requirements
  • Experience with leading or providing guidance to other team members
  • Basic Microsoft Office Experience
  • Ability to self-motivate and work as part of a team
  • Agile / SCRUM experience preferred
  • Metadata management and best practice experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Data management, governance, and analysis experience required, with 5+ years of related experience
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present data quality issues and needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills, technical aptitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, validation, and summarized reporting abilities
