Citrix Engineering Operations Organisation (EOO) is a multi-disciplinary engineering group responsible for ensuring both the performance and interoperability of Citrix products from across the company portfolio. Our mission is to ensure a best-in-class end-user experience for our rapidly expanding customer base of over 100 million users through a combination of software validation and optimisation.

The Data Science Team is an integral part of EOO and its aim is to offer solutions to problems that require advanced analytics & data science expertise. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be leading other data scientists, data engineers and BI experts. You will be also collaborating with automation, scalability and infrastructure engineers in order to help the organisation to make more data driven decisions. You will also work with key partners such as engineering leadership across our 2000+ engineering organisation as well as product and release management.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a strategic and technical role in driving advanced analytics, supporting the team’s growth, and partnering with internal teams to evaluate pivotal initiatives.

You will be working with the Data Science & BI Manager for the EMEA region, and you will be leading complex, multidisciplinary projects. You will be working closely with more junior members of the team and helping them grow professionally.

You will be working with very large datasets and performing advanced analytics in different computing environments. You will also be modelling complex business problems, discovering business insights and identifying opportunities using statistical, algorithmic, data mining and data visualisation techniques. Finally, you will be responsible for implementing these algorithms with the latest tools and technology. You will maintain a global scope and work with teams operating across regions, time zones and departments.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Mentoring and coaching more junior members of the team and help them realise their true potential.

• Supporting the team and its leadership in expanding its analytical capabilities using machine learning and artificial intelligence.

• Establishing ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) pipelines between a wide variety of data input sources and output targets.

• Building machine learning models using R and Python.

• Visualise software quality metrics representative of a typical end-user experience from across the Citrix product portfolio across a highly varied series of real-world scenarios.

• Educate key partners in machine learning concepts and interpreting visualisations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or any other quantitative field.

• 5+ years of relevant working experience, with a proven track record of developing advanced analytical solutions and mentoring people.

• Experience in developing and productionising end-to-end data science solutions, including the data engineering aspect.

• Hands-on programming experience in Python and R, as well as toolkits such as Tensorflow, Pytorch, Sci-Kit etc.

• Experience using data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau as well as common visualisation libraries such as (Matplotlib, Plotly and Gplot).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data-science in a tech company or start-up.

• Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Apache Spark as well as Cloud technologies (e.g. Azure).

• Experience working within an agile environment.
