What we're looking for:
 

As a Senior Manager for Web Platform and Architecture at Citrix, you will lead a team of frontend and backend web developers, and work in collaboration with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, Product and Security. Your primary function is to help build and maintain "Highly Scalable, Available, Performant, and Secure Web Platform".  In this role, you will be uniquely and strategically positioned to work on very cool and exciting projects and work with the latest cutting-edge technology that positively impacts Customers and Users in numerous different industries, having direct and indirect impacts on Citrix’s revenue and growth

Position Overview:

Web platform team plans, architects, designs, develops, tests, maintains, and supports web applications in software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud and on-prem environments.  Performs setup, configuration, and updates to applications, including programming to integrate cross-platform applications. Produces specifications, researches, tracks, and understands new web technologies to provide technical leadership in developing applications and analyzing business requirements pertaining to intranet and external web systems. Leads Agile practices like pair-programing, test driven development, automated deployment pipelines, code quality metrics, etc. Builds and leads cross-functional teams including frontend developers, testers, designers, and backend developers. Builds and produces reports using queries and reporting tools associated with web application platforms.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversight – Provide day-to-day ownership of highly complex and constantly improving web platform and oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle in agile environment
  • Defining vision and approach – Demonstrate big-picture and technical thought leadership. Design the vision and roadmap for Citrix web technology platforms and communicate at the individual and leadership levels, spanning marketing, IT, legal, security, and management
  • Platform ownership – Act as a technical owner of large-scale enterprise web platforms and multiple high value and high traffic global multi-language websites and related transformation projects
  • Technology Resiliency - Be subject matter expert on best practices to architect, configure and/or customize web platforms. Provide hands-on system expertise to resolving issues in production environments and to application engineers in building appropriate solutions to support business and technical requirements
  • Enhancing Security Posture – Be the web security leader to implement zero trust model across all websites and protect them against data breaches to enhance Citrix’s security posture
  • Program management, assessment, optimization, and execution - Manage effective execution of web technology programs and initiatives, develop assessment and skill-based strategies to build prescriptive and predictive learning paths for all development team members. Define and monitor Tech OKRs and strive to continuously improve the metrics month over month
  • Business partnering – Be a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, technical decision makers, and other cross-functional business partners. Manage business relationships and expectations with critical stakeholders by providing advisory support on system features, capabilities and prioritization.
  • Team leadership – Develop a high-performing team by recruiting, leading, training, mentoring, and developing the skills of a team of web development managers, architects, leads, developers, and program owners while providing direction and support on projects and daily execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience is required. Master’s degree is a plus
  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience, with 6+ years people management experience leading system administrators, architects, application developers and system analysts in a diverse, globally distributed team setting; 3+ years in senior technical manager or leadership capacity
  • 10+ years in web technology platforms; 8+ years in software/application development (using Java, JavaEE, .Net, PHP, Unix/Linux, and/or HTML, CSS, JavaScript); 4+ years managing enterprise large scale web platforms and multiple global websites
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and build websites in JavaEE (preferred), .Net, PHP, or similar programming languages using standard functionalities, backend development and process automation
  • Deep knowledge and experience with web compliance such as GDPR, ADA, AODA, WCAG
  • Experience managing high-performing teams, including direct management as well as leadership of virtual project teams. Proficient in configuring web applications, administering CDN, Firewall, managing dispatchers/load-balancers and performing server-level tracing/debugging in production environments
  • Experience defining website security standards, implementing policies to protect websites against data breaches and securing high value websites using WAF services from Akamai, Cloudfront or Cloudflare
  • Experience working in and managing multiple content management systems (CMS) and digital experience platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, SiteCore, Drupal, and Acquia Cloud
  • Experience in managing budget, vendor relationships, platforms selection, contracts and negotiations and high degree of motivation and professionalism with advanced organizational and project management skills with sense of urgency and commitment to deliver optimal results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating headless eCommerce platforms with CMS
  • Experience building and managing digital marketing ecosystem involving CMS, eCommerce, product information management, digital asset management, marketing analytics and marketing intelligence platforms and applications
  • Experience managing multiple sandbox environments and effectively manage deployments to production environments that meet best practices and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work remotely with flexible hours to accommodate multiple time zones
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with different levels in the organization
  • Team player with can do attitude to effectively lead transformational projects
