What we're looking for:

You are a natural people person with excellent communications skills and thrive in meeting face to face with clients and present them with solutions that make their business run better. We work together in a consultative sales environment, understands customer and/or partner industry dynamics and quickly learns their specific strategies, priorities and challenges. You start with the customer/partner point of view and fit the Citrix solution/advantage into that picture. You’re aligned with partners in your current role, and can use Partners/SI (system integrators) & strengthen existing partner /SI relationships by crafting a productive cadence of interaction with them around current and future sales opportunities.

Citrix is search of a Partner Account Manager, State & Local Government - East will drive activities in partner recruitment, partner business development and partner support. Our team works to grow partner sales, which are accomplished through multiple activities including developing strategies with the partner for differentiation, market penetration, and revenue/ margin growth as tools to achieve and surpass quota. We'll work together across the internal partner teams to grow and develop long-term relationships with our Partners, which include certified Resellers, System Integrators, and Strategic Partners. You'll bring in depth experience in working with state and local government/public sector partners into this role.

Primary Duties:

  • Maximize partner net new opportunity and revenue generation by leading all activities associated with pipeline management, portfolio planning, sales mentor, and forecasting.
  • Develop partners and strengthen relationships to drive dedication to Citrix products and solutions.
  • Use territory team of specialists to drive enablement and marketing activities for partner training and marketing execution activities.
  • Strategically use marketing investments and Citrix Marketing assets improving value.
  • Grow net new partner revenue through joint business, pipeline and forecast planning and execution.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating Citrix and Partner resources throughout sales cycle.
  • Grow contribution of Citrix partners, enhancing capabilities required to sell entire Citrix portfolio.
  • Increase utilization of marketing funds and ensure the best ROI on Partner lead activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Build and demonstrate collaboration with internal area managers, field sales, SEs, inside sales and marketing teams
  • Planning and financial skills including business planning; knowledge of the partner ecosystem; partner pipeline management and forecasting
  • Understanding of partner economics, business models and motivations for customer success
  • Ability to communicate Citrix value proposition in terms of understanding of both partners and customers’ business needs
  • Ability to engage, excite, influence and coordinate both partners and Citrix functions even though they are not under his/her direct control
  • Outstanding communication skills – written, oral and facilitation
  • Experience in pipeline building with partners including planning, gaining senior sponsorship, delivering training, sales coaching and timely execution/follow-up
  • Prospecting and sales skills – assist partners drive new opportunities
  • Strong ability to tackle a diverse scope of balancing both strategic and immediate needs
  • Leads collaborative efforts for Citrix sales teams and regions
  • Proven track record of recruiting, training, mentor, motivating and retaining a successful group of partners and partner sellers
  • Strong understanding and proficiency with Citrix internal processes and tools as well as working level understanding of product, licensing and partner programs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ yrs channel or enterprise sales experience
  • 5+ yrs experience state and local government experience/channel sales experience preferred
