You will be an integral part engineering team which works for Work collaboration solutions, specifically within Podio. Podio is a collaborative work platform that is already empowering numerous organizations to change the way they work. It enjoys high daily active-use and is supported by a network of enthusiastic partners and 3rd party developers.

In this position, you will be responsible for engineering public cloud services and embracing a DevOps culture. You will drive the technical architecture and standards/process to deliver the best customer experience. This role can be remote and located in other US locations not listed.

Position Overview:

You are a Site Reliability Engineer with a passion for DevOps and have experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and running cloud services. You have expertise working with public cloud infrastructure providers like Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud. You have a solid understanding of development, debugging, administration, automation frameworks and software development experience primarily Python. If you have handled deployments with Infrastructure as a code, we would love to speak with you!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work on cost scalability, monitoring/alerting design/implementation, proactive monitoring, service availability, incident resolution, cloud networking, AWS/Azure service operation, operations analytics, secrets management, and administering 3rd party software/PaaS/infrastructure
  • Deduce and work on common patterns to host applications (Kubernetes, Docker, FaaS) and Networking – Security and connectivity between, into, and out of cloud services
  • Provide common solutions to multiple teams by identifying and addressing patterns in infrastructure and applications.
  • Work with other development teams to design scalable, robust systems using cloud native architecture principles.
  • Will design solutions with failure in mind to ensure reliability.
  • You will enjoy pushing scalability to the limit with high throughput service.
  • Automating work including infrastructure needs, testing, failover solutions, failure mitigation, and much more.
  • Developing CI/CD processes to improve cadence.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation to ensure cloud service availability

Prior Achievements include:

  • You have at least 5 years of hands- on experience building design, deploy, secure and optimize Cloud services in one or more large public cloud providers AWS(Preferred) or Azure
  • You have experience on CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps
  • Have experience on Container Tool , such as Docker, Kubernetes & SCM Tools: GIT, BitBucket
  • Experience automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Terraform and can explain the Infrastructure as Code paradigm
  • You have an Engineering Degree or higher in CS or equivalent

Your superhero talents include:

  • You have the skill and ability to notice/observe patterns and ways to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, optimize costs, and maintain performance at scale
  • Experience with monitoring and observability such as with Splunk, New Relic, and Nagios is a plus
