What we are looking for?

You love solving problems and enjoy learning new technologies. You have 4-6 years of experience in developing Networking and Communication protocols. You have developed a strong practical understanding of common L4-L7 networking protocols like -TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH etc. You should possess can do attitude and ready to take up new initiatives based on Business requirements.

If you also have relevant industry certifications, it’s a plus.

Position Summary:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and develop test collateral for Systems and Sanity testing of NetScaler platforms and features, test execution of identified test scenarios, Development of automated test suites, Work also involves mentoring junior engineers, recreating customer reported issues in lab environment, reviewing and providing feedback on technical documents and support the solution we are providing to customers using our cloud services platform for managing their ADCs on-premise or in cloud. You should possess “Automate Everything” attitude and interest to understand and enhance the Test framework to next level.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ADC Sanity test development and execution of tests covering various
    NetScaler features.
  • Gather deployment use cases from various feature Teams for identified
    features.
  • Builds complex testbed replicating customer like environment
  • Identify issues and work with development and hardware teams for timely resolution
  • Recreate customer reported issues in-house to identify the root cause and solve complex
    network challenges
  • Enable Self-Service of Automated Test Suites.
  • Establish and maintain documentation of all work
  • Review test results and bug descriptions for accuracy
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise and other departments on technical matters.
  • Should be extremely GOAL oriented and align-self to business/group needs
  • Strive for excellence (although not necessarily perfection’ always). Use your talent, acquainted skills in the best way possible to meet business goals.

Basic Qualification:

  • BE/ME degree in computer science or other related disciplines
  • 4-6 years of network product testing experience
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP protocol stack (L2 through L7)
  • Good understanding of FreeBSD / Linux environments
  • Mandatory Scripting knowledge on any scripting language preferably Python.
  • Strong understanding of system internals and system architecture
  • Strong programming proficiency in Perl and/or Python to automate test cases
  • Knowledge of various test tool vendor software and industry standard test software’s
  • Strong knowledge and experience with test methodologies, QA processes, and software release cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to develop test strategy documents, test plans and test cases
  • Strong knowledge of release procedures
  • Solid proficiency in test effort estimation and tracking
