Position Overview

You as a software engineer is responsible for working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal personnel. Takes initiative to plan and execute your own work assignments.

Role and Responsibilities:

You are responsible for evolving the UI platform that drives Podio Workflow Automation

Modernizing the application and keeping it up to date with new frameworks and versions

Work on customer issues and ensure high quality fixes

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software

Reviewing contributions to the code base for consistency, accuracy, and completeness.

Working closely with the Design and Product teams to create streamlined and responsive user experiences.

Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.

Basic qualifications:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science engineering or related fields with 5+ years of demonstrated ability of developing web-based applications leveraging both a JavaScript based frontend framework [React, Angular] along with a backend framework [Python, PHP]

Building simple and elegant front-end components using the latest JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5

Development experience with Unix/Linux

Usage of source control software like GIT/Bitbucket etc.

Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and/or cloud deployment technologies

Experience with building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Experience building and utilizing unit, functional and integration tests

Produce high quality and well-documented code in an automated CI/CD environment

Experience monitoring the health and debugging issues in server-side components

Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

Agile based development experience is a must

Ability to learn other coding languages as needed

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Server-side languages: Python, PHP, Ruby or equivalent

Cloud Platforms: AWS

CI/CD Tools: Jenkins,

Container Tools: Docker, Kubernetes

AWS Cloud Environment: EC2, Elasticache, RDS, S3, Cloudformation

Databases: MySQL, DynamoDB

Experience with Splunk, Datadog
