What we're looking for:

We are looking to hire an experienced and motivated software engineer for our Solution Engineering group, ensuring that Citrix products function as a coherent solution for our customers.
You will be responsible for leading the design and development of innovative tooling and services, contributing to multiple layers of CI/CD tool-stacks and building complex environment automation across the Citrix ecosystem.
You’ll be working closely with a distributed team of dedicated engineers committed to driving improvements to Citrix’s cloud platform and interacting with Citrix engineering teams across the world.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Architecting and developing the platform, tooling and automation to promote engineering efficiency across Citrix

  • Evaluating technologies, including open source and public cloud offerings, to meet platform needs

  • Working with Citrix engineering teams to understand requirements for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

  • Collaborating with internal partners in different time zones

Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in software engineering, computer science or the physical sciences

  • Several years of relevant software development experience

  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and one or more supporting programming languages (Python, C++, C#, Java)

  • One or more public cloud platforms (i.e. Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Microservice based architectures, and experience of web/cloud/SaaS platform development

  • Platform/pipeline technologies like Grafeas, Artifactory, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker, k8s

  • Observability technologies like New Relic and Splunk

  • Infrastructure-as-code technologies like Helm, Terraform, Vault and Ansible

  • Expertise with Linux and Git

  • Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software

  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • A passion for the subject matter and the curiosity to search out and try new things and tackle new challenges

  • Strong communication skills and a great teammate
