You will join a team of experienced and dedicated software engineers based in Patras and remotely all over Greece, with years of history delivering high-quality carrier and enterprise grade products, in a fast-paced business environment, and will have the potential to collaborate with fellow engineering teams across the globe.
The Senior Performance Engineer will incorporate industry best practices as to optimisations, profiling, system analysis and design into all aspects of the software development lifecycle to advance product performance. Furthermore will develop, monitor, analyze and maintain tools and automation to quantify and analyze the performance benchmark of a variety of applications and platforms for our core networking business and product portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Work on performance optimization of existing code and architecture.
Proposing and prototyping software changes to improve system performance.
Analyze and monitor system performance trends and recommend improvements.
Establish performance objectives and communicate design guidelines for high quality software performance development.
Troubleshoot performance related bottlenecks and provide insights/suggestions at platform or network teams.
Work under accelerated software development cycles, and help ensure that shipped products meet rigorous standards of quality and are delivered on time.
Work closely with sales and product teams to analyze user needs and operational constraints to determine technical requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The position requires a Software engineer professional, with 3-5 years of related hands-on work experience in developing and implementing software applications.
Essential requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject area.
Hands-on Strong Software Development Skills in one or more programming languages (C, Python).
Excellent Computer Networking Skills and related protocols (TCP/IP) knowledge.
Experience in design, development and testing of highly available software products.
Employing software engineering and development best practices.
Good knowledge and exposure to Linux programming.
Critical thinking and proven track record of problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written Greek and English communication skills.
Desirable attributes:
Hands on experience on optimizing Software for specific architectures (x86-64).
Exposure to cloud services: OpenStack/AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
Exposure to XenServer, VMware, KVM virtualization environments.
Relevant experience with system level, performance, capacity, longevity testing.
