The Senior Technical Program Manager responsibilities include:

  • Lead internal and external cross-functional teams through the application development lifecycle while managing schedule, cost, scope and quality
  • Helps define process improvements, streamline work and promote changes aligned with corporate goals
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Drive alignment on technical requirements, manage issues and track bugs (Agile)
  • Quickly identify, evaluate, track, mitigate, and report issues and risks
  • Implement best practices and proven methodologies for managing mobile application products
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering leaders to create project plans and manage the program to ensure high quality and alignment with stated goals
  • Be the daily liaison with internal and external partners throughout the program
  • Maintain documentation, lead project status presentations and identify, escalate and mitigate project risks
  • Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders
  • Partake in requirement stack ranking and planning for upcoming releases and influence feature and functionality acceptance or rejection (e.g. third party devices, upgrade paths, OS and SP support, legacy feature support, proper new feature support)
  • Identify teams impacted by new requirements/change requests and ensure acceptance and coverage by those teams or rejection as necessary
  • Ensure schedules conform to global milestones and coordinate changes to schedules when milestones change
  • Identify risks and work with teams to resolve or mitigate them
  • Provide technical status on high-profile issues when they are identified
  • Prepare and communicate project status as required to the leadership team
  • Assist with creation of a software development process that makes sense for the product and ensure that releases adhere to this. Proactively look for and investigate inefficiencies within the development cycle and help to resolve
  • Identify and implement operational policies and directives that optimize processes to deliver a quality product.
  • Stand-up/Lead Project meetings to identify project risks and issues and communicate them to the wider team
  • A deep interest in understanding the whole process of software delivery from development, to end of life
  • Exceptional relationship skills including the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Requirements:

  • 5 + years track record of program or project management, ideally in delivering software or mobile technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with agile or lean software development and at least 8 years industry experience in the software field
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Expertise delivering projects with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and Agile Project Management Tools (JIRA)
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering Cloud-based SaaS projects
