Citrix is looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to join our Citrix Consulting Services team!

Citrix Consulting has been an integral part of Citrix for 10 years and is continuously looking for IT consultants with strategic, enterprise deployment experience. Our dynamic and energetic Services organization provides the quickest path to virtualization for our enterprise customers. Through our proven methodology and project-based approach, Consulting drives successful implementations through focused project teams and direct customer interaction. Citrix Consultants undergo a rigorous initial training program, as well as ongoing training for emerging products, focusing on key Citrix technologies and industry adopted certifications.

The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) on the Citrix Professional Services team oversees multiple internal and customer-facing consulting engagements of large size and/or high degree of complexity. The SDM is responsible for influencing Citrix’s positioning and orientation within the client organization to ensure successful implementations.

During consulting engagements, the SDM will minimize project risks - working cross-functionally and cross-company to eliminate challenges and engage key stakeholders. The SDM acts as an authority on understanding clients’ overall business and in positioning Citrix Consulting Services for successful implementations. The SDM acts as the authority on project methodology and best practices and demonstrates the ability to tailor the methodology to meet the client’s needs while preserving a structured process. The SDM must be able to manage all aspects of consulting engagements to include client relationships, project plans and resources, and assists in sales efforts both with existing clients and prospective ones. As an experienced leader within the organization, the SDM also provides direct coaching, mentoring, and feedback to Consultants, monitoring team engagement and performance, and directs the team to act in accordance with company initiatives, processes and methodology.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Leads projects with the highest level of complexity, visibility or risk
  • Ensures that day-to-day tasks are carried out both efficiently and effectively during consulting engagements, while at the same time anticipating upcoming tasks in the future
  • Actively identifies and pursues opportunities for follow-on work
  • Anticipates upcoming challenges and takes proactive steps to mitigate risk and break down barriers both cross-functionally and cross-company
  • Provides technical “thought leadership” to the entire Citrix Consulting team.
  • Takes full responsibility for overall execution and delivery of critical tasks or projects, including logistical, operational, and administrative aspects
  • Stays focused on department and Citrix strategic priorities and allocates their time and resources accordingly
  • Requires the ability to multi-task between different clients, projects, and internal initiatives simultaneously

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ yrs experience as a Consulting Manager or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex or multiple projects, while meeting deadlines, producing high quality deliverables and creating high customer satisfaction
  • Long term planning horizon and “strategic” mindset
  • Excellent relationship building, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability, initiative, and accountability to manage and develop client relationships
  • Ability to develop project scopes; demonstrated ability to expand our role/scope of work at a client
  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited university
  • Excellent customer service and solid technical skills in Citrix products and technologies are required
  • Willing to travel 25 to 50% of the time.
  • CCE-V, CCE-N, and MCSE/MCITP certifications encouraged
