What we're looking for:

You are a Senior Quality Engineer that is comfortable working with networking and virtualization. You enjoy designing, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex software applications and can deliver across all phases of the SDLC. Position Summary

This position, which is within the Citrix ADC Platform Team, will initially focus on the testing of Citrix ADC product line for platform features and will present you with a unique opportunity to expand problem-solving situations that will become a valuable career asset. Role Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and executes reusable and maintainable automated test frameworks and platforms; plans and executes functional and system level testing of products across all platforms to test various features.

·         Applies expertise related to estimating, designing, developing and executing test procedures and cases of products with FreeBSD, Linux based OS platforms, writes effective test plans and test cases based on functional, design and requirements specification for one or more medium to large functional areas.

·         Understands the department's objectives and works diligently towards those goals; pursues goals beyond what is typically expected or expressed; is results-oriented, with a strong drive to accomplish objectives and meet high standards; strives to improve own performance and to have a significant impact on organization’s success.

·         Uses appropriate quality control tools to uncover defects and discover the state of the code; analyses and records testing results and defects.

·         Assists developers in reproducing problems and getting them resolved; participates in design activity with other programmers on technical aspects relating to testing, including functional specifications, design parameters, feature enhancements, and alternative solutions.

·         Establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work including status updates to summarize project highlights and present to the stakeholders.

·         Provides test-related technical direction and project management within a project/scrum team; provides guidance in methodology selection, project planning, and the review of work products; may serve in a part-time technical lead capacity to a limited number of junior test engineers, providing immediate direction and guidance.

·         Keeps technically abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable.

Qualifications (include Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Related Work Experience)

Experienced in implementing automation testing tool/framework/SDK. Expertise in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Linux shell, Java script) and can manage one or more one or more object-oriented languages (e.g., C++, C# or Java)

·         Solid knowledge of Operating Systems including installation and configuration. Good knowledge of Windows or Linux as well as OS and virtualization concepts.

·         Deep understanding of networking technologies (e.g. HTML, DNS) and protocols. (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)

·         Experienced in use of traffic generators (Spirent/IXIA), configuring network devices and testing networking applications.

·         Knowledge of Test methodologies, QA process, Test plan, Test cases and software release cycle.

·         Knowledge of Hypervisors (Xen, KVM, ESXi) is good to have

·         Knowledge of public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) is good to have.

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, Experience)

·         Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field is preferred.

Bachelor with a minimum 8 years of directly related work experience.

Master with minimum 5 years of work experience is required.

·         Fluent English skills, including writing and speaking.

·         CCNA or above certification is a plus. 

·         SAFe is a plus
