What we're looking for:

You are a Staff Software Engineer, you will own driving the technical roadmap of products in the App Delivery Management group. You should be a distributed systems generalist, understand different architectures (monoliths, microservices), be able to architect broad systems interactions while being very hands-on, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and lower level system interactions. You value simplicity and scale, able to work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You are the builder here. You will be part of a team of really smart, motivated, and diverse people and given the autonomy and support to do your best work.

Position Overview:

This role is for our Networking and Cloud Team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Help in architecting and designing robust, flexible and scalable solutions

• Partner with product and program management leadership to deliver the product features on time and with high quality.

• Work closely with product management, professional services and support team and enable them to improve the customer experience

• Drive technical solution development and provide direction to engineering teams

• Collaborate with other product teams

• Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may impact the team’s ability to execute.

• Create clear career paths for team members and help them grow with regular and deep mentoring

• Setup best practices for development and help the organization adopt and improve as we scale

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's Degree is Highly Preferred.

• 8+ years of strong working expertise in developing in building software products.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and solve deep technical issues and knowledge of running Agile practice

• Strong coding skills in python, with emphasis on writing modular code.

• Must demonstrate an ability to technically own a product or a set of features

• Must demonstrate an ability to technically own and negotiate cross-functional deliverables across the matrix organization.

• Expertise in Kubernetes and micro-services and understanding of technology trends in the virtualization/cloud industry (AWS, Azure, GCP, ESXi, KVM etc.).  

• Broad understanding of technology trends in the networking industry. Must be able to articulate and defend technical positions

• Must be comfortable working in a distributed team environment across time zones
