What we're looking for:

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and executes reusable and maintainable automated test frameworks and platforms; plans and executes functional and system level testing of products across all platforms to test various features.
  • Applies expertise related to estimating, designing, developing and executing test procedures and cases of products across OS platforms (e.g. Windows/Linux/Mac/iOS/Android), writes effective test plans and test cases based on functional, design and requirements specification for one or more medium to large functional areas.
  • Understands the department's objectives and works diligently towards those goals; pursues goals beyond what is typically expected or expressed; is results-oriented, with a strong drive to accomplish objectives and meet high standards; strives to improve own performance and to have a significant impact on organization’s success.
  • Uses appropriate quality control tools to uncover defects and discover the state of the code; analyzes and records testing results and defects.
  • Assists developers in reproducing problems and getting them resolved; participates in design activity with other programmers on technical aspects relating to testing, including functional specifications, design parameters, feature enhancements, and alternative solutions.
  • Establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work including status updates to summarize project highlights and present to the stakeholders.
  • Provides test-related technical direction and project management within a project/scrum team; provides guidance in methodology selection, project planning, and the review of work products; may serve in a part-time technical lead capacity to a limited number of junior test engineers, providing immediate direction and guidance.
  • Keeps technically abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Experienced in implementing automation testing tool/framework/SDK. Expertise in one or more object-oriented languages (e.g., C++, C# or Java) and mange one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Linux shell, Java script or PowerShell).
  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented programming concepts. Solid knowledge of Operating Systems including installation and configuration. Good knowledge of Windows or Linux as well as OS concepts.
  • Deep understanding of networking technologies (e.g. HTML, DNS) and protocols. (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)
  • Experienced of Windows/Mobile (iOS, Android) and Web based application development and testing.
  • Knowledge of Test methodologies, QA process, Test plan, Test cases and software release cycle.
  • Knowledge and experience with relational database technologies (SQL, schema design) is recommended.
  • Understanding of Server/Desktop Virtualization and Cloud Computing concept is a plus.
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies and tools desired (e.g., MS Project).

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field is preferred.

Bachelor with a minimum 8 years of directly related work experience.

Master with minimum 5 years of work experience is required.

  • Fluent English skills, including writing and speaking.
  • MCSE/CCNA/CCA or above certification is a plus. 
  • SAFe, PMP etc. is a plus.
