What we're looking for:
 

A Senior 2 Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages. Someone who has gained hands on programming skills and has extensive knowledge of programming constructs, data structures, algorithms and scripting languages/framework with a strong passion for solving complex problems. Position Overview:

You’ll be leading development of software alongside talented team of developers to create innovative cloud solutions. Responsibilities range from conceptualizing ideas, targeted research and rapid prototyping to determine feasibility, evaluate risks, and then create well-thought-out designs and implementation. The position will initially be focused on the Citrix Workspace Cloud product line. Developing Workspace Cloud will present you with a unique opportunity to expand problem-solving situations that will become an invaluable individual career asset.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Architects, Product Managers, Support, and Operations to understand requirements for developing proof of concepts (prototypes) and final product features.
  • Compose and maintain design specifications and component documents.
  • Design alongside a team of engineers focusing on 'design first' thinking, incorporating different end user personas.
  • Implement front end and back end business logic for new features (full stack development).
  • Embrace Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.).
  • Embrace and institute best practices and coding standards (e.g.: code reviews, logging and instrumentation, unit tests) within the team.
  • Understand and troubleshoot field issues. Diagnose customer problems through systematic root cause analysis. Institute preventive measures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred, with at least 5 years of directly related work experience.  Equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education
  • Strong front end development.   
  • Strong understanding and application of scripting in a core scripting language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates experience leading implementation of moderate to complex software.
  • Focused skills in javascript and AngularJS.
  • Strong .NET programming. Preferably C#.
  • Strong understanding and application of scripting in a core scripting language. Preferably PowerShell.
  • Strong database programming. Preferable to have a core understanding in document-oriented databases.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong demonstration of developing modern web applications (designing modern REST based APIs, 3rd party integration, Web UI interactions, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of operating systems and computer networking.
  • Strong understanding of IIS and web service hosting.
  • Strong understanding of implementing web application security is desirable.
  • Strong Experience with cloud computing technologies. Microsoft Azure or Amazon EC2 is desirable.
  • Strong experience with Azure App Insights / New Relic / or other Application Performance monitoring is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Sumo Logic / Splunk / ELK stack is desirable.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory is desirable or Azure Active Directory.
  • Moderate Knowledge of cryptography is desirable.
