What we're looking for:

Role overview:

In this role, you’ll lead a product team (or couple of teams) that is delivering value to our customers who are using Wrike Mobile. You will ensure that goals and objectives are clearly defined and executed on. Teams consist of iOS and Android engineers, manual and automation QA, product manager, product designer and analyst. 

You should have an engineering background, preferably in mobile, experience building and leading teams to great results. Together with peers you will build, adjust and roll-out processes to support a growing organization (delivery, product focus, feedback, scaling, team organization). As a team manager, you have empathy and good emotional intelligence - this will help you maintain a healthy, collaborative culture passionate about driving value. You will be actively involved in hiring engineers, making sure the team is well-staffed.


  • Drive your team to deliver value to Wrike customers in a sustainable and predictable way

  • Lead your team  - focusing on people, product, processes and technology

  • Partner with technical leaders and peers in R&D to ensure quality across units

  • Hire and onboard new engineers

  • Help people grow via 1-1s, feedback, coaching and delegation

  • Be able to take a Scrum Master role - ensure that your team adheres to the best scrum practices and hold the team accountable in case of gaps

  • Own and act on team metrics (product, engineering, team and individual)

  • Present at internal and external meet-ups and conferences

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of leading robust teams with measurable outcomes

  • Excellent communication and social skills. You connect with various individuals and groups to resolve any impediments or propose a change that will positively impact the development process

  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback

  • Partner with a tech lead and product manager/designer and understand how to prioritize initiatives, tradeoffs and risks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and running distributed teams

  • You have a solid software engineering background in Mobile and you are passionate about the products you create

  • Experience defining and driving Engineering Principles and Engineering Strategy 

  • Great leadership skills. You are an empathic leader that is able to coach and mentor engineers to improve their potential
