What we're looking for:

You are a Recognized subject matter expert who Manages large projects or processes under limited or no supervision and will Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to junior employees. Your Operational targets with a major impact on department results.

Position overview:-

Collects engineering specific metrics and works closely with the Engineering Management organization to execute on standardization of the SDLC processes within engineering. Works with cross-functional stakeholders to develop vision and strategy in order to drive planning, processes, and technology activities. Builds relationships with all dependent development teams and drives all escalated issues through to a resolution. Collect data and present release status to stakeholders and management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements to processes and tooling to enhance the performance of the job area
  • Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem
  • Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialities
  • Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues
  • Utilizes superior analytical skills to adopt data and metrics driven approach
  • An influencer who puts the needs of the program/project first and helps people to achieve their goals
  • An organized thinker who can summarize status and risks succinctly
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function
  • Typically has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.)
  • Works to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures and practices
  • Exhibits organizational acumen; Establishes credibility and influences the management/teams to adopt uniform processes/guidelines

Basic Qualification

  • Requires deep knowledge of job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Typically viewed as having a speciality within the discipline.
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience
  • Typically responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within the job area
  • Typically responsible for managing major/complex projects at this level, involving delegation of work and review of work products
