Join the Citrix Workspace Intelligence team in Prague.
The core development team for Citrix Workspace Intelligence sits here at our office in Prague.
We are following Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and currently have ten cross-functional Scrum teams (Front-end/Back-end Developers, Testers, and Product Owner). Apart from Engineering teams, we also have local Product Designers and a Product Management team in close collaboration bringing the new ideas to life. Other roles helping us to reach our goals are Scrum Masters, Site Reliability Engineers, and Information development specialists who make sure our documentation is top-notch.
Our units consist of two to four Scrum teams that work on one large product vertical.
The Product Scrum team creates new features and improves existing ones. This is a truly cross-functional team that connects members of our Wrike team from different functions: the product, UX, product analytics, engineering (backend and frontend developers, QA and automation engineers, and UI developers). Some specialists may contribute to the success of several teams at once.
The Internal unit teams are responsible for improving the development experience in product teams. They provide the tools and features that speed up the development process, ensuring the flexibility of the system in terms of using technology stacks, and guaranteeing that the code base is stable and up to our quality standards.
Engineers in technical teams develop tooling, improve the platform and the quality of the code, and work on shared libraries (e.g., our UI Kit) as well as devtools.
How does the Wrike Engineering team prioritize and set goals?
The product manager typically shares their vision for a feature based on the company’s product goals. Then, the team discusses corner cases and creates a high-level plan to roll out this feature, including its fit into Wrike’s overall architecture and other product tracks.
We believe an engineer who understands the needs of the business can work out, plan, and implement a feature in the best possible way. All of our engineers take part in the decision-making process for anything that goes out to our customers.
What does the path from task to deployment look like?
We release daily. You can make a feature that users will see as soon as tomorrow. No “manual deployments” — all branches are built by robots.
You can say that all of the above are the standard when it comes to a product company with streamlined processes. Interested to learn more about what's special about Wrike? Learn more here!
The Citrix Workspace Intelligence team
The team culture in Prague
We are here for eachother. You can expect to be working in a friendly collective, where people support each other and are trying not to take themselves too seriously. Citrix also emphasizes work-life balance, and you can seek counsel in one of our many programs focused on our employees' well-being.
We also like to participate in outside-of-work activities like gaming nights, team-buildings, volunteering, partying on our rooftop, etc.
When it comes to your career progression and improvement of your skills, please note that it is possible to change your career path if you possess the necessary skills, and we have an opening.
There is also a huge e-learning library where you can improve your skills or learn completely new ones. Thanks to our strong partnership with Microsoft, you can also attend any training and obtain any Microsoft certification for free!
What technologies do we use?
Our Back-end Developers are currently making sure the foundation of Workspace Intelligence – a Microapps server hosted in Azure - is working flawlessly, and they are developing it further. Our tech stack is Java 11, Spring framework, Kubernetes, Docker, and we are working with reactive systems.
The front-end part, where we take care of the integration UI development, is written in Typescript, and 90% of the code is not older than two years. We are also using Typescript, React, and GraphQL. If you are interested in web security (e.g., CSP), you can learn a lot because our products' security is our topmost priority. We will help you obtain a security certification if you are up to it!
