What we're looking for:

As a Citrix Virtualization Sales Engineer (SE), you will be responsible for the technical relationships with customers and prospects, and you will identify and match technology opportunities with our customers’ business needs. In this role, you will be a meaningful element of our sales organization by driving sales with your technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and excellent customer focus. You will also assist in developing business value propositions around Citrix products and solutions and participate as part of a sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets. This position will cover the Greater Toronto Area, must reside is close proximity to Toronto.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve a wide range of complex issues
  • Assessing the potential application of Citrix products to meet customer’s business needs and using professional concepts in providing primarily pre-sales technical support
  • Establishing relationships with business and technical personnel to find opportunities and sell Citrix products
  • Building and delivering product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions either remotely, at customer locations, at marketing events, or at Citrix facilities
  • Participating in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects
  • Building formal networks with key decision-makers and serving as external spokesperson for Citrix
  • Using and enabling partners as the fulfillment channel while working with Citrix end-user accounts on IT initiatives
  • Working on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products, or technologies
  • Providing updates in as well as regular updates to management

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years sales engineering and customer-facing experience
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory (60%)
  • The following certifications are helpful but not required: Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V), Professional (CCP-V), or Expert (CCE-V), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
  • Understanding of technical sales techniques and processes; high level of specialized sales and product solution knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

Technically curious and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies; including the ability to distill and articulate the business and technical value

Hardworking self-starter who can identify and complete tasks and assignments with limited direction

  • Ability to apply a solid understanding of one or more of the following areas of focus: Application and Desktop Virtualization, Desktop and Server integration, Enterprise Mobility, Cloud/SaaS
  • Ability to diffuse complicated technical and political situations with partners and customers
